About Me

My passion for psychology is driven by collaborating to discover ways to improve people's lives.  The work involves understanding the patterns of behavior that are causing problems and discovering ways to change these patterns.

I received my doctorate in psychology from the University of Delaware in 1986.  I worked until 2001 in a psychiatric hospital, specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents and families.  I worked with families in crisis through inpatient, day program, and outpatient treatment settings.  I also directed the crisis and consultation programs, and provided supervision to staff and psychology interns.  I have been in private practice since that time, where I work with people of all ages. I have also taught graduate level courses in clinical psychology and ran the training clinic for clinical psychology graduate students at the University of Delaware.
